Your coffee table is the piece that makes your living room complete. Hence, it has to be simply styled without looking cluttered. It's a great idea to add vases, books, and small trinkets towards the middle of the coffee table. That way, there is still ample space for food and drinks on the table top.
If you have a 2-piece coffee table, you can style it a little out of the box. On the glass top, you can place any drinks or food, while the bottom table can host decorative items like a fruit basket, potted plants, an ashtray, and even a drink selection.
For tiered coffee tables (or ones with storage space), make sure to add at least one decorative item to them to make the space less empty.
Which type of coffee table should I choose?
It depends on your tastes and other furnishings. If your sofa, walls, and other furniture are predominantly white, we'd recommend something like our Round Marble Coffee Table – which will blend in – or our Modern Drum Coffee Table, which contrasts well.
If your house has a mid-century feel to it, our rattan coffee tables are great to have. The clean lines and iconic rattan pattern will look great against the wooden/steel decor.
How big should my coffee table be?
If you live in a compact home or an apartment, you'll love our 15"-19" coffee tables, which are small but will look great.
However, if you have a big sofa, a small coffee table will look dwarfed, so it's better to settle for a mid-size coffee table like our Round Carved Pattern Coffee Table.
